Tile Health Monitor
In a system containing up to 8192 Tile Processing Modules, comprehensive health reporting is essential to detect failures and early degradation of hardware components, facilitating the maintenance of the telescope over time. Moreover, health status must be recorded during observations to provide the operational context of the telescope.
The monitored quantities include temperature, voltage and current for all major components. Additionally, the status of timing signals including the reference clock, on-board oscillators, pulse-per-second, and internal clock managers and PLLs responsible for clock generation and distribution inside the FPGAs. Status flags for the FPGA firmware I/O interfaces and DSP chain are also exposed to ensure communication channels are brought-up successfully, are operating reliably and without interruption.
