Using the SKA-Low WMS device

A LowWeatherMonitoring Tango device has been developed to publish Weather Monitoring Station data automatically to interested clients.

Device properties

The following Tango device properties should be set:

• Host: hostname/IP of the weather station’s Modbus server.

• Port: Modbus port number to use.

A LowWeatherMonitoring device normally initialises with controlMode in ControlMode.NO_MONITOR_NO_CONTROL and monitoring needs to be enabled to start publishing data:

dp.controlMode = 1

Device attributes

The LowWeatherMonitoring Tango device uses the ska-wms-interface package which publishes data for the following sensors:

• windSpeed

• windDirection

• temperature

• pressure

• humidity

• rainfallRate
