SKA OSO Integration

Observatory Science Operations (OSO) is a suite of applications which handle the observation lifecycle from proposal design to scheduling and execution. For more information on the design and architecture of OSO, see Solution Intent

These tools evolve and can be deployed independently from their own pipelines. This project acts as the first place the tools are integrated together and connected to the same ODA, and serves two main purposes:

  1. Provides a permanent deployment of released versions of the OSO applications for stakeholders and developers

  2. Publishes a Helm chart with the OSO applications to be used at the ITF/telescope sites so that AIV teams do not need to manage individual application charts

It achieves this by defining two charts:

  1. ska-oso-integration includes all the OSO applications that are currently required to be deployed at the ITFs/telescope sites.

  2. ska-oso-integration-umbrella includes the above chart, plus other OSO applications not deployed at the site, a deployment of a TMC Simulator or real TMC in simulation mode, and Taranta.

The following tables lists the released version of the applications currently in the charts (with links to their docs pages) and the associated URL for the persistent deployment. These versions are those in the main branch of the ska-oso-integration repository. The OSO teams make every effort to ensure the individual released applications work with the rest of the environment before merging, however there is a risk this is not always the case. There is an equivalent staging deployment that deploys the latest released ska-oso-integration chart, rather than the latest main branch version, which should be even more stable. To access this, replace staging- is the URLs below with integration-.
